Scope and Content

Multiple photographs mounted together to form a panorama of the north side of Albany Avenue at the intersections of Center and East Streets. To the west of Center Street are The Albany building, and a building housing a grocery store. East of Center street is a large apartment building with stores at street level. They include Consumers Green Stamps Redemption Center, the Deerhead Tavern, Sportsman's Barber Shop, Clay Hill Package Store, and a shoe repair and hat cleaning business.The next apartment building has a large vertical sign for a bakery. The only discernable business at street level is Rex Quality Market. Cars are parked in a lot between the market and a Gulf gas station on the corner of East Street. A house is in view on the east corner of East Street.
