The material in this section overlaps, and complements, the material in Series II: Documents and Correspondence. Though both portions were acquired at the same time, and segments had been processed, the material in Section III was added to the finding aid for the first time in 2021.

Biographical / Historical
Everett A. Piester joined the Hartford Parks Department in 1925 as Curator of the Rose Garden. In 1949 he became Assistant Park Superintendent, a position he held until being promoted to Superintendent in 1954. Piester retired in 1961.
